Heritage Walk

This is a less rigid yet a more sensual version of the forest safari. It starts in the early morning. And by early morning, we mean that you have to wake up at 4 am. If you find the weather a bit cold, we recommend you put on a light sweater or shawl. Otherwise it is okay.

Attractions

This walk is in an unreserved portion of the forest which is usually safer. Unlike a typical forest safari, we encourage you to touch new plants and trees. Breathe in the forest’s scent. We’ll tell you about everything. The forests also have some seasonal streams of water. It is not in our hand, but in many trails, we come across some peculiar wild animals and birds. This sight delights all the nature aficionados.

There would be a guide

A guide is always there to help your way around the forest. You can typically assume what kind of guides you can get in Jim Corbett. Nine out of ten times, he would be a Pahari boy. Some are army aspirants or retired. Such guides are very hard and daring in nature. They can adapt with anything and that shows up on their faces. On the other hand, you may also come across a guide who is very poetic or philosophical in nature. Well. The forest is so beautiful that anyone can become a poet.

Other than forest

This heritage trail is not just about the forest. But we have to discuss with our tourists about what they want to see. There’s so much in the forest. Yet, the time is limited.

We also take the tourists to the nearby villages to show the rural lifestyles and farming techniques. They can also delight themselves with local village markets and cuisines.

Some Reality Check

There would be no vehicle. You’ll be a part of a group of like minded people. This makes it a golden opportunity for you to network and make new friends. It is the most suitable activity for youngsters who wish to feel and live the forest. For middle aged and senior citizens, we leave it at their discretion and medical conditions to decide if it would suit them or not. The path, being in the forest, is not smooth. The texture is rocky as well.
