If you ask any local about the most attractive area of Jim Corbett, they’ll definitely suggest Dhikala. And why wouldn’t they? Dhikala is the largest zone in Corbett. This is the most promising zone of the reserve; where you can also spend nights inside the jungle. Not just the animals, the best of all bird watching trails are also in this zone only. So promising that the gypsies for safaris are more covered than those of other zones. Availability of a safari in this zone is no less of a luxury. Its entry gate is located 18 km away from Ramnagar city. This is the only zone where you’ll find the rush throughout the year. The best season we recommend is from November to June. When tourists have such a craze about this zone, they count it an added privilege if they can make it through the waiting list of the allotment of the forest rest houses. Dhikala has five forest rest houses, more than any other zone. Of these Dhikala Forest Rest House is the largest with 20 rooms to let. Other than this, Sarapduli, Sultan, Gairal, and Khinnanauli are other FRHs with two to six rooms to let.
