Accommodation, Sightseeing and Conveyance
Many resorts and hotels have opened up in the region that can give these vibes to the tourists. More are in the line to open. Many of such resorts organize the nature walk in the local forest where they show the flora and fauna to the curious tourists. Some tourists also hire bikes for the local sightseeing in the surrounding villages and towns. Visitors also love taking the handicrafts home. Everyone loves the red and white Aipan paintings.
Government has its own lodges in the forest that are huge timesavers. They were the hunting lodges of Britishers in the past. The entire forest you can see in this region is Jim Corbett itself. However, for segmentation of plant and animal species as well as their protection, certain zones have been marked. Entry inside them without permission is restricted except to the local villagers in some cases for fuelwood collection.
These zones are where you can have the fun of a jungle safari. Jeeps are government owned. You’ll have to book them beforehand. They allot them along with a driver and guide who have the expertise in this domain.
